Enquiries don't commit you
We use enquiry details to respond and discuss possible work. We use client information to provide and administer the service you have agreed with us.
02 · Handling information
How Long We Keep It and How It Is Protected
Retention depends on the record and the reason we hold it. Access is limited.
Retention periods
Unsuccessful enquiry records are normally kept for up to 12 months after our last contact, unless a longer period is needed to address a dispute or legal obligation.
Engagement files are normally kept for up to six years after the matter closes, subject to any longer legal or business need.
Accounting records are kept for the period required by law, generally at least six years.
Security in practice
Access to personal data is restricted to people who need it for their work.
We use appropriate access controls, secure transmission and device protections for the systems used to handle information.
People handling client information are expected to keep it confidential.
Service providers and incidents
We may use hosting, email and document-storage providers to support our work.
Where a provider processes personal data for us, it must protect it and act on our instructions under appropriate terms.
If a breach creates a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you when required by data protection law.
If information must be kept longer to meet a legal duty or deal with a claim, we retain only what is needed for that reason and restrict its use.
03 · Your choices
Your Rights and Website Cookies
You have rights over personal data we hold about you. Their application depends on the circumstances and the legal basis for our use.
Your data protection rights

Ask for a copy of your personal data or request correction of inaccurate details.
Erasure and restriction
Ask us to delete or limit use of your data where the law gives you that right.
Objection and portability
Object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also request portable data where the right applies.
Withdraw consent
If we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. This does not affect processing already carried out.
Email your request to [email protected]. We may ask for information to confirm your identity. We aim to respond within one month; complex requests may take longer where the law permits, and we'll tell you if an extension is needed.
You can also complain to Ireland's Data Protection Commission. It can assess concerns about how personal data has been handled.
